Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-18: The Shiloh Station Road project is continuing to progress ahead of the original construction schedule! All curbs have been poured and the driveway aprons should all be poured by mid-day on Thursday, October 19, 2017. The contractor will then begin the sidewalk work. This work will consist of additional grading and forming for the concrete pours. Please note that parking will continue to be allowed on the EAST side of the street while the driveway aprons cure during non-construction hours. While construction is occurring, vehicles should be parked outside of the construction zone.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the asphalt work has been rescheduled for Monday, October 23, 2017 and full closures will be required during asphalt placement. If weather becomes a problem, asphalt work will be postponed. Thank you for your continued patience and support during this road improvement project.
Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-16: First, thank you to the residents in the project area as I know it is frustrating.
Please remember that parking is NOT allowing on Shiloh Station Road during the construction hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The Village and the Contractor are not liable for damages to personal property left on the road within the construction limits. Please also note that the concrete curb should not be walked on until it has cured. There are footprints and other damages to the curb already. In order to try to prevent this, the Contractor left sections of curb un-poured as access points. These are the areas that should be utilized to access private properties. Please also note that asphalt is tentatively scheduled for installation on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Full closures of the road may take place on this date to maximize efficiency during construction hours.
Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-10: The contractor is a bit ahead of schedule and will begin pouring the concrete for the curbs on Thursday, October 12. Once the curbs in front of residential driveways are poured, residents will be unable to access their driveways for up to 5 days while the concrete cures. From 3:30 pm until 7:00 am on workdays (and any time on the weekend), residents will be able to park on the east side of Shiloh Station Road in the work area. The contractor will ensure that all equipment is moved and stored on the west side. During the construction working hours (7:00 am – 3:30 pm), parking will not be allowed in the construction area. Buses, trash trucks, and mail vehicles will continue to be allowed access to the area. We apologize for the inconvenience that this causes while improvements are being made to the street.
