Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-12-07:  Asphalt work on Shiloh Station Road was completed yesterday. The road is back open to local traffic only. Please remember that there is a detour in place for all thru traffic, as this section of Shiloh Station Road remains a construction site. Ameren will be back on site tomorrow to complete the gas main relocation and the Village’s contractor will be back on site Monday to place temporary striping and continue work on the sidewalk sections yet to be completed. For the safety of the construction workers and motorists, please refrain from using Shiloh Station Road as a thru street. The detour route remains in place utilizing Seibert Road and Johnson Road.

Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-12-05:  The Shiloh Station Road work will begin again today, December 5, 2017. Ameren is on-site to relocate a gas main in conflict with the sidewalk. At the same time, the prime contractor will be prepping six (6) driveways and the roadway for the surface course of asphalt. The asphalt will be placed tomorrow, December 6, 2017. During this work, Shiloh Station Road will be completely closed to traffic beginning at 7:00 am. Residents of this area that need to have vehicle access during the asphalt work are advised to park north of the construction site on the west side of the road behind the barricades. The Village apologizes for the inconvenience that this will cause, but we are working diligently to get asphalt placed and the road opened before the Christmas holidays. As always, we appreciate your patience as the improvements continue.

Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-26:  Because of the bad luck with the weather, we weren’t able to pave earlier this week as planned.  Unfortunately with the weather that occurred earlier this week, the asphalt paving of Shiloh Station Road had to be postponed. The Contractor will be doing some prep work today in anticipation of asphalt work tomorrow morning. The intent is for paving to be completed in one day so that vehicles can be parked within the construction zone for the weekend. In order to do this, the Contractor is requiring that Shiloh Station Road be closed to all traffic for the duration of the asphalt paving. Asphalt work will begin as early as 7:00 am, so the Village asks that all vehicles be moved from the construction areas by that time. Thank you for your patience as the construction progresses.

Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-18:  The Shiloh Station Road project is continuing to progress ahead of the original construction schedule! All curbs have been poured and the driveway aprons should all be poured by mid-day on Thursday, October 19, 2017. The contractor will then begin the sidewalk work. This work will consist of additional grading and forming for the concrete pours. Please note that parking will continue to be allowed on the EAST side of the street while the driveway aprons cure during non-construction hours. While construction is occurring, vehicles should be parked outside of the construction zone.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the asphalt work has been rescheduled for Monday, October 23, 2017 and full closures will be required during asphalt placement. If weather becomes a problem, asphalt work will be postponed. Thank you for your continued patience and support during this road improvement project.

Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-16:  First, thank you to the residents in the project area as I know it is frustrating.
Please remember that parking is NOT allowing on Shiloh Station Road during the construction hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The Village and the Contractor are not liable for damages to personal property left on the road within the construction limits. Please also note that the concrete curb should not be walked on until it has cured. There are footprints and other damages to the curb already. In order to try to prevent this, the Contractor left sections of curb un-poured as access points. These are the areas that should be utilized to access private properties. Please also note that asphalt is tentatively scheduled for installation on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Full closures of the road may take place on this date to maximize efficiency during construction hours.

Shiloh Station Road Maintenance Project Update 2017-10-10:  The contractor is a bit ahead of schedule and will begin pouring the concrete for the curbs on Thursday, October 12. Once the curbs in front of residential driveways are poured, residents will be unable to access their driveways for up to 5 days while the concrete cures. From 3:30 pm until 7:00 am on workdays (and any time on the weekend), residents will be able to park on the east side of Shiloh Station Road in the work area. The contractor will ensure that all equipment is moved and stored on the west side.  During the construction working hours (7:00 am – 3:30 pm), parking will not be allowed in the construction area. Buses, trash trucks, and mail vehicles will continue to be allowed access to the area. We apologize for the inconvenience that this causes while improvements are being made to the street.
