The Village of Shiloh is seeking a Public Works Maintenance Worker. Applicants must have a high school diploma, and be able to obtain a CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement within six (6) months of hire date. At least 2 years of various public works maintenance experience preferred. Experience should include street repairs, park and playground maintenance, building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, vehicle/equipment maintenance and related duties. Snow plowing, operating large equipment, and sanitary sewer system knowledge are a plus. Applicants must be able to traverse uneven ground, lift and carry at least 100 pounds, climb ladders, work weekends and nights, work extended shifts, work outdoors in varying types of weather. The applicant must be self-motivated and be in the public eye. Candidates must have the ability to acquire other Illinois applicator licenses and certifications. Applicants are subject to background checks, pre-hire physicals, proficiency testing and drug and alcohol testing. Starting pay is $15-16 per hour.
