On Sunday, April 10, 2016 The Shiloh Police Department received a report that a handicapped seventeen-year-old male had been sexually assaulted by a male acquaintance of his family that was taking care of him.

The suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 after results were received from the Illinois State Police Crime Lab. The results of the investigation were submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office Child Victim Unit for review.

On Friday, April 20, 2018, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Bernadette Schrempp issued an eight-count warrant being #18CF0059701, #18CF0059702, #18CF0059703, #18CF0059704 each for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, a Class X Felony. She issued warrant #18CF0059705, #18CF0059706, #18CF0059707, and #18CF0059708 each for Criminal Sexual Assault, a Class 1 Felony. All warrants issued are charging Breon J. Dillard, 23, who is Homeless from Cahokia with the above crimes.

The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Stephen McGlynn and he set Dillard’s bond at $500,000. Dillard is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
