Aggravated Domestic Battery
On Saturday, September 9, 2017 at approximately 9:53 AM, The Shiloh Police Department responded to Kings Mart located at 1551 Hartman Lane for a domestic battery that began at a residence in the 600 block of Kane Court. The female indicated she had been strangled at the residence by a family member. She fled to the gas station followed by the family member who battered her further at that location. The victim declined medical treatment at the scene and the male subject fled prior to the arrival of officers.
The suspect was taken into custody on Friday, September 15, 2017 and the results of this investigation were submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Friday, September 15, 2017, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Chris Allen issued a three-count warrant; warrant #17CF0118601 for Aggravated Domestic Battery Strangulation, a Class 2 Felony, warrant #17CF0118602 for Aggravated Battery-Public Place, a Class 3 Felony, and warrant #17CF0118603 for Aggravated Battery-Public Place, a Class 3 Felony, charging Carlton D. Gilmore Jr., 34, of the 600 block of Kane Court in Shiloh with the above crimes.
The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Jan Fiss and he set Gilmore’s bond at $30,000. Gilmore is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
