On Saturday, July 8, 2017 at approximately 11:25 p.m., The Shiloh Police Department responded to the area of London Lane and Berwick Circle in reference to two subjects wearing all black clothing acting suspiciously.
Upon arrival of officers the subjects fled on foot in between houses. Two subjects were eventually located separately and detained by officers. Officers were contacted by dispatch and advised that a subject was at the Shiloh Police Department wanting to make a report reference a burglary to motor vehicle that occurred within the 2500 block of London Lane. Both subjects were taken into custody for further investigation. A second victim reported that his vehicle was also burglarized at the same address on London Lane. A subsequent investigation ensued.
Upon completion of the investigation the case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. On Monday, July 10, 2017 Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued warrant #17CF0085101 for Burglary, charging Demarcus J. Sullivan, 22, of the 4700 block of Piggott Avenue in East St. Louis and warrant #17CF008501 for Burglary, charging Ronald C. Edwards, 22, of the 1100 block of South 11th Street in Belleville with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by the Honorable Judge Jan Fiss, he set Sullivan’s and Edwards’ bond at $100,000 each. Sullivan and Edwards are currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
