On Sunday, February 11, 2018 at approximately 9:04 PM The Shiloh Police Department responded to a residence in the 700 block of Ganim Drive for a domestic battery that occurred inside a vehicle near the intersection of Oxen Court at Richland Prairie Boulevard.
The female victim indicated she was battered by her boyfriend that was no longer present. The victim did not require medical treatment. The suspect was taken into custody on Monday, February 12, 2018 and the results of the investigation were submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Agnes Bugaj issued warrant #18CF0021101 for Aggravated Battery, a Class 2 Felony, warrant #18CF0021102 for Domestic Battery Subsequent, a Class 4 Felony, and warrant #18CF0021103 for Domestic Battery Subsequent, a Class 4 Felony, each charging Charles L. Lewis-Alston, 23, of the 2300 block of Richland Prairie Boulevard in Shiloh with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Randall Kelley and he set Lewis-Alston’s bond at $50,000. Lewis-Alston is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
