On Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 at approximately 12:55 p.m., Shiloh Officers were dispatched to Target, located at 3400 Green Mount Crossing Drive, in reference to a subject in custody for Retail Theft. An investigation uncovered the suspect attempted to leave the store without paying for a felony amount of merchandise offered for sale by Target. This case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Friday, January 17th, 2020, Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued warrant #20CF0009001 for Retail Theft over $300, a Class 3 Felony, charging Sophia R. Cole, 33, of the 2000 block of Oakland Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri with the above crime.
The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Julie Katz who set Cole’s bond at $20,000 with 10% applying. Cole is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
