On August 3, 2021 and August 6, 2021, Shiloh Officers took retail theft reports from a Target Asset Protection employee. During a routine inventory they found multiple Dyson Vacuums were unaccounted for. During a review of their surveillance system, it was determined a subject known to Target Asset Protection entered the store on 7/26/21, 8/3/21, 8/6/21, selecting a Dyson vacuum and exiting the store passing all points of sale without paying for the merchandise on each occasion. The cases were presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for warrant review.
On September 1, 2021 St. Clair County States Attorney Beth Nester issued a three-count warrant: #21CF140901 for Retail Theft, a Class 4 Felony, #21CF140902 for Retail Theft, a Class 3 Felony, and #21CF140903 for Retail Theft, a Class 3 Felony, each charging Robert L. Harris, 55, of the 600 block of Water Street in Cahokia, Illinois with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Hitezmann who set Harris’ bond at $40,000.00 with 10% to apply. Harris is not in custody at this time.
