On Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 5:51 P.M. the Shiloh Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of West Waters Edge in Shiloh for a 9-1-1 call verification. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined the 9-1-1 call was in reference to a domestic disturbance which had just occurred. After speaking with the two victims, the suspect was arrested, and one of the victims was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and was later released from the hospital. The case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for warrant review.
On Friday, November 5th, 2021, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Mel Kimberlin issued a 4-count warrant #21CF0176201 for Aggravated Domestic Battery, a Class 2 Felony, 21CM0002915 for Domestic Battery, 21CM0002916, and 21CM0002917 for Interference Reporting a Domestic Battery, all Class A Misdemeanors, each charging Yusef B. Khalid, 31, of the 200 block of West Waters Edge in Shiloh with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Zina Cruse who set Khalid’s bond at $75,000 with 10% applying. Khalid is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
