NEWS RELEASE - Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer

On Sunday, December 26, 2021 at 2:33 A.M. the Shiloh Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of North Main Street in Shiloh for a domestic disturbance and subject removal.  Upon officers’ arrival, they met with all parties and attempted to remove the suspect from the premises.  The suspect resisted the officers, and the Officers suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries.  While transporting the suspect to the St. Clair County Jail, she intentionally damaged the interior of a Shiloh squad car. The case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for warrant review.

On Monday, December 17, 2021, St. Clair County Assistant States Attorney Angel Vonbokel issued a three-count warrant #21CF0202401 and 21CF0202402 for Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, a Class 2 Felony, and warrant #21CF0202403, a Class 3 Felony, each charging Emily A. Erb, 30, of the 200 block of South Hilgard in O’Fallon with the above crimes.

The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Jeffrey Watson who set Erb’s bond at $75,000 with 10% applying. Erb is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
