Case Number: #21-232, 21-233
Contact: Detective Sergeant Kyle Bade
Contact Number: 618-632-9047

On Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:47 P.M., Shiloh Officers were in the area of the 2000 block of Rockwood Drive in Shiloh when they observed a subject known to have been issued a trespass warning for the property. The subject was taken into custody for criminal trespass and was transported to our department for booking. While preparing to transport the suspect to the St. Clair County Jail, he began to actively resist Shiloh Officers, and damaged property at the Shiloh Police Department. During the investigation, the subject was identified as a suspect in an investigation for a burglary in the same area that had just occurred. Both cases were submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.

On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued a three-count warrant: #21CF00035501 for Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Felony, #21CF0035502 for Criminal Damage to State Supported Property, a Class 4 Felony, and #21CM0000429 for Resisting a Police Officer, a Class A Misdemeanor, charging Seth I. Wood, 29, who is homeless with the above crimes.

The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge John O’Gara who set Wood’s bond at $75,000 with 10% applying. Wood is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
