NEWS RELEASE – Unlawful Use of a Weapon

On Friday, May 13, 2022 Shiloh Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2400 block of Lebanon Avenue for a traffic violation.  After speaking to the driver, probable cause was established to search the vehicle.  A loaded weapon was found in the vehicle during the search.  The driver was taken into custody and the case was forwarded to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022 the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s office issued warrant #22CF0074701 for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a Class 4 Felony, charging Christopher E. Thomas, 19, of the 2600 block of Sierra Drive in Shiloh with the above crime.

The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Patricia Kievlan who set Thomas’ bond at $20,000.00 with 10% applying. Thomas is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
