NEWS RELEASE - Aggravated Driving Under the Influence

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at approximately 8:40 P.M., the Shiloh Police Department responded to the area of Lebanon Avenue and Archview Drive in reference to a vehicle reported to be all over the roadway.  Upon officers’ arrival, contact was made with the driver of the vehicle who was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol.  The driver was taken into custody, and during a search of his vehicle, a loaded firearm was located inside of the vehicle.  The case was forwarded to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued warrant #22CF0152701 for Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, a Class 4 Felony, warrant #22CF0152702 for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a Class 4 Felony, and warrant #22CM0152703 for Driving While a License is Suspended, a Class A Misdemeanor, charging Carlton McGraw Sr., 61, of the 100 block of Foxbrush Lane in Belleville with the above crimes.

The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge John O’Gara who set McGraw’s bond at $20,000.00 with 10% applying.  McGraw is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
