On Saturday, May 14, 2022 at approximately 11:33 PM, Officers from the Shiloh Police responded to a large party in the 3500 block of Barton Drive for a report of people fighting. It was indicated that vehicles were driving through resident’s yards and leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
Officers responding to the area observed a large number of vehicles and people leaving the party after fights occurred and gunshots were fired nearby in the neighborhood. An unoccupied vehicle was located that had been involved in a minor traffic accident and had visible damage from being struck by a bullet. The individual driving this vehicle has since been identified and has met with Officers, but currently has not provided a statement.
Through investigation, it was learned that gunshots were fired from a moving light-colored passenger car that was actively chasing another darker colored passenger vehicle through the neighborhood away from the party.
On Sunday, May 15 at approximately 12:16 AM, Officers from the Shiloh and O’Fallon Police Departments responded to the Motomart located at 1790 Frank Scott Parkway for what was initially incorrectly reported as a shooting. Officers arriving observed vehicles leaving at a high rate of speed and made contact with a large number of individuals that had left the party at the 3500 block of Barton Drive. There was evidence of multiple physical altercations occurring on the parking lot at the same time. However, no one remaining at the scene indicated they were a victim. It should be noted that there was an overall lack of cooperation from a majority of the individuals at both locations.
