On Saturday, June 10, 2023 at approximately 8:40 P.M., Shiloh Officers met with the victim of a possible domestic battery that had previously occurred in the area of the 3700 block of Greenmount Crossing Drive in Shiloh. The victim stated she had been battered, then was able to separate herself from the suspect, and returned to our department to file a report. The case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for warrant review.
On Thursday, June 15, 2023 St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Grant Simon issued a two-count warrant #23CF0104601 for Aggravated Battery in a Public Place, a Class 3 Felony, and #23CM0104602 for Domestic Battery, a Class A Misdemeanor, charging Aaron J. Thomas Jr., 36, of the 400 block of 33rd Street in East St. Louis with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Zina Cruse who set Thomas’ bond at $20,000 with 10% to apply. Thomas is currently at large and there is no current booking photograph of him.
