On Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at approximately 1:02 PM, Officers from the Shiloh Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Lebanon Avenue and North Green Mount Road. Probable cause was developed to search the vehicle, which led to the location of a firearm, a possible controlled substance, and body armor. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and the results of this investigation were submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Friday, November 3, 2023 St. Clair County Assistant State Attorney Beth Nester issued warrant #23CF0184501 for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a Class X Felony, and warrant #23CF0184502 for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a Class 4 Felony, both charging Anthony K. Bogay, 44, of the 100 block of Adeline Drive in Belleville with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed and signed by St. Clair County Judge Sarah Rice. Bogay is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail pending pre-trial release proceedings.
