NEWS RELEASE - Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer

On Monday, January 29, 2024 at approximately 1:48 A.M., The Shiloh Police Department was dispatched to the 1st block of Innsbruck Drive in reference to a verbal disturbance in progress. Upon their arrival, they made contact with the victim and the suspect. After the speaking with both parties, the suspect was removed from the property, and then ran back onto the property, and struck the victim. The suspect was taken into custody, and began resisting arrest. A Shiloh Officer was injured with non-life-threatening injuries. The case was forwarded to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for warrant review.
On Tuesday, January 30th, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Paige Buffington issued a 4-count warrant, #24CF0018401 & #24CF0018402 for Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, both Class 2 Felonies, #24CM0018403 for Resisting a Peace Officer, a Class A Misdemeanor, and #24CM0018404 for Battery, a Class A Misdemeanor, charging Danielle B. Greene, 34, from 500 block of 37th Street in Belleville with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Sara Rice who signed the warrants valid. Garner was released from custody from the St. Clair County Jail pending further court proceedings.
