On Saturday, April 27, 2024 at approximately 7:20 P.M. the Shiloh Police Department responded to a residence in the 2900 block of Carlyle Avenue in reference to a domestic battery.

It was reported that a male suspect battered his girlfriend and her adult son who reside at the residence.  The male victim received treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  The suspect resisted arrest at the residence but was able to be safely taken into custody. The results of the case were submitted to the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office for review.

On Monday, April 29, 2024, St. Clair County Assistant State's Attorney Brian Kerr issued a three-count warrant #24CF0070801 for Domestic Battery-Subsequent, a Class 4 Felony, #24CF0070802, for Domestic Battery-Subsequent, a Class 4 Felony, and #24CF0070803, for Resisting a Police Officer, a Class A Misdemeanor, each charging Douglas D. Neumeyer, 52, of the 2900 block of Carlyle Avenue in Shiloh with the above crimes.

The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Sara Rice, who signed the warrants valid. Neumeyer is currently in the custody of the St. Clair County Jail.
