NEWS RELEASE - Aggravated Battery in a Public Place

On Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 8:23 A.M., The Shiloh Police Department took a report of a domestic battery that occurred the previous evening. It was reported that a male suspect battered a female victim in the 1100 block of Hartman Lane on Saturday, May 19th at approximately 10:19 P.M.  Through investigation, probable cause was developed.  The suspect was taken into custody and the case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for warrant review.

On Monday, May 20, 2024 St. Clair County Assistant State's Attorney Brian Kerr issued a three-count warrant, #24CF0085001 for Aggravated Battery in a Public Place, a Class 3 Felony, #24CF0085002 for Criminal Damage to Property, a Class A Misdemeanor, and #24CF0085003 for Domestic Battery, a Class A Misdemeanor, each charging Curtis T. Harris, 39, of the 1200 block of Pheasant Ridge Court in Shiloh with the above crimes.

The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Maurche’ H. Belk, who signed the warrants valid. Harris is currently in the custody of the St. Clair County Jail.
