NEWS RELEASE - Attempted First Degree Murder

On Saturday, December 28, 2024, at approximately 1:04 A.M. The Shiloh Police Department were dispatched to the 2600 Block of Sierra Drive in Shiloh in reference to a male who was stabbed in the chest, and it was unknown if the subject was breathing. Upon their arrival, Shiloh and O’Fallon Officers provided live saving measures to the victim until EMS arrived on scene. The suspect, who was in a dating relationship with the victim, was taken into custody at the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The case was submitted to the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office for warrant review.
On Sunday, December 29, 2024, St. Clair County Assistant State's Attorney Derek Smith issued a two-count warrant, 24CF0229602 for Attempted First Degree Murder, a Class X Felony, and 24CF0229601 for Aggravated Domestic Battery, a Class 2 Felony, charging Marnequa T. Allen, 22, of the 2600 Block of Sierra Drive in Shiloh, Illinois with the above crimes.
The warrants were reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Dominic Kujawa, who signed the warrants valid. Allen is currently in the custody of the St. Clair County Jail pending a Petition for Pre-Trial Detention.
