NEWS RELEASE - Shiloh Police Department announces Labor Day impaired driving campaign results

Shiloh, Illinois – The Shiloh Police Department issued 13 seat belt citations – 7 of which occurred during nighttime hours. Other citations included:

  • 4 citations for distracted driving
  • 2 citations for expired registration
  • 1 citation for improper passing on the shoulder
  • 1 citation for no insurance
  • 22 written warnings for additional traffic violations

Through the Labor Day enforcement effort, we helped to make our roads safer and remind motorists that impaired driving is not a game.

The Shiloh Police Department joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners throughout the state for the Illinois Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Drive High. Get a DUI” enforcement campaign.

The effort was made possible by federal highway safety funds distributed by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
