On Friday, November 1, 2019 at 8:43 P.M. Shiloh police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. After speaking with the driver, it was determined the driver had a suspended driver’s license, and he was placed under arrest. While performing a search incident to arrest, Shiloh officers found a loaded assault rifle with a 30-round magazine within reach of the driver. This case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Saturday, November 2, 2019 Assistant State’s Attorney Steve Sallerson issued warrant #19CF0167801 for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a Class 4 Felony, charging Winston Q. Hill, 27, of the 2600 block of Sierra Drive in Shiloh with the above crime.
The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Patrick Foley who set Hill’s bond at $10,000. Hill is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
