On Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 8:15 P.M. while on routine patrol, a Shiloh Police Officer observed a vehicle with a minor traffic violation. The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle, and found the temporary registration on the vehicle was fraudulent. The suspect was arrested for this and for an active warrant from a different jurisdiction. The case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Monday August 26, 2019, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued warrant, #19CF0130201 for Unlawful Possession of Vehicle Registration, a Class 4 Felony, charging Jerome M. Hardene, 60, of the 4000 block of San Francisco in St. Louis, Missouri with the above crime.
The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Julie Katz who set Hardene’s bond at $10,000. Hardene is currently in custody at St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
