On Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:23 A.M. Shiloh Officers responded to La Petite Academy located at 2390 Lebanon Avenue in reference to a theft of 3 Apple I Pad Air devices which were taken from the business. The I Pad’s Serial Numbers were entered as stolen into the Law Enforcement Agencies Data Systems. On Thursday, May 16th, the Shiloh Police Department was notified the stolen I Pads were sold to an electronics company. The company was notified, and all I Pads were returned to the Shiloh Police Department, and all of the seller’s information was provided from the company as well. All attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful and the case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.

On Wednesday June 19, 2019, St. Clair County Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued warrant, #19CF0093401 for Theft, a Class 3 Felony, charging FRANCHESSCA SCHAUF, 32, of the 1st block of Hillside Lane in Belleville with the above crime.

The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Heinz Rudolf who set Schauf’s bond at $10,000. Schauf is currently at large.

*All persons are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
