On Saturday, February 20th, 2021 at approximately 2:29 p.m., a Shiloh Officer was patrolling in the area of Lebanon Avenue at Sierra Drive in Shiloh and conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle commit a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, a probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded handgun within arm’s reach of the driver. The suspect was taken into custody and this case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
On Monday, February 22nd, 2021, Assistant State’s Attorney Elizabeth Nester issued warrant #21CF0026901 for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, a Class 3 Felony, charging Dorian M. McGlown, 34, of the 200 block of North 61st Street in East St. Louis, Illinois with the above crime.
The warrant was reviewed by St. Clair County Judge Chris Hitzemann, who set McGlown’s bond at $50,000 with 10% applying. McGlown is currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail for want of bond.
